Way to go, Cerritos Hyundai team!

"Ricardo and Javed were so helpful and nice! There excellent customer service made our visit enjoyable. They gave us roses and a Starbucks gift card before they had even made the sale. Just so that if we did not walk away with a car, we still had a positive experience. I did buy my first new car from Cerritos Hyundai! I love my new Elantra! I was given a fair price and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this dealership for anyone looking to buy." -Sabrina

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid tops segment in Autopacific vehicle satisfaction awards

COSTA MESA, Calif., May 24, 2012 – The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid topped the Hybrid Car/EV category in the 2012 AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA). AutoPacific’s VSA survey measures how satisfied an owner is with his/her new car or light truck. This study by the Southern California-based automotive research firm summarizes the results of more than 75,000 surveys completed by owners of new cars and light trucks in the United States in the first quarter of 2012. Additionally, Hyundai finished fifth overall in the Popular Brand rankings.

“Owners have made the Sonata a star in AutoPacific’s Vehicle Satisfaction Awards. In fact, when the all-new Sonata first launched in 2010, owners gave it the highest Vehicle Satisfaction Score we have ever recorded,” notes Daniel Hall, Vice President of AutoPacific. “The Sonata Hybrid appears to be carrying on the tradition.”

The 2012 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards are based on scores developed using results from AutoPacific’s national New Vehicle Satisfaction Survey. Respondents to this survey are owners of new 2012 model year cars and trucks purchased from September through December 2011. Respondents rate 48 attributes for importance in the purchase decision and satisfaction after purchase.

“Having our models recognized in AutoPacific’s 2012 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication that goes into all the vehicles in the Hyundai lineup,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “At Hyundai, we strive to exceed customer expectations in safety, quality, value and performance, and look forward to continuing to develop more award winning vehicles as we bring the 2013 Santa Fe to market this year.”

The Sonata Hybrid features Hyundai’s Hybrid Blue Drive system with a powertrain entirely developed in-house. The Sonata Hybrid can be driven in zero emissions, fully electric drive mode at speeds up to 72 miles per hour or in blended gas-electric mode at any speed. The Hybrid Sonata also features a lithium polymer battery pack, making Hyundai the first automaker in the world to incorporate this remarkably efficient battery technology into production vehicles. All Sonata Hybrids are covered by Hyundai’s Lifetime Hybrid Battery Replacement Guarantee. To view the complete 2012 VSA results, visit: http://www.autopacific.com.

Hyundai Motors America partners with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to raise awareness

COSTA MESA, Calif.,- Hyundai Motor America presented a $25,000 check to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) on Saturday, May 12, 2012 during the opening ceremony of its annual "Walk Like MADD" 5K walk in Huntington Beach, Calif. The walk raised awareness for MADD's mission to stop drinking and driving, support victims and prevent underage drinking. In its ongoing commitment to driver safety, Hyundai was the presenting sponsor of the event for the second consecutive year.

Walk Like MADD, MADD's signature walk, is a fun, community-driven 5K walk that raises funds and saves lives. This year's event drew more than 1,200 participants and included a Hyundai Veloster display, a 1,000 cranes origami project to bring hope to the victims and survivors of drunk driving crashes, a live performance by Redneck Rodeo, and law enforcement support from the California Highway Patrol and the police departments of Santa Ana, Orange, Huntington Beach and Irvine.

"We are honored to have Hyundai Motor America stand beside us as we work to make our roadways and communities safe throughout Orange County," said Mary Beth Griffin, affiliate executive director of MADD Orange County. "The funds raised through Walk Like MADD will go to support our mission and we are very grateful to Hyundai for their support in making the event a success."

Hyundai has partnered with MADD since 2005 when it sponsored a program that educated high school students on the dangers of drinking and driving. Hyundai has since expanded that partnership and is now the presenting partner for "Walk Like MADD." The walking event in Orange County is one of MADD's largest 5K walks.

"Drunk driving is a serious issue and Hyundai is committed to raising awareness about driver safety to help make our communities safer," said Zafar Brooks, director of corporate social responsibility, Hyundai Motor America. "Hyundai strives to be a positive corporate citizen and I am honored to continue our relationship with Mothers Against Drunk Driving in support of their important mission."

Hyundai's participation at the "Walk Like MADD" walk event is part of its larger corporate social responsibility program that runs under the mantra of "doing good things together." Hyundai is committed to being a responsible member of the community and giving back to its neighbors while focusing on youth health and education nationwide.

Way to go, Cerritos Hyundai team!

"Ive been to several different dealers and have been harrassed by all the sales people but Cerritos hyundai was different. I pulled in and was greeted by Jorge. He asked a few questions about what i wanted and said he had what i was looking for. I told him i didnt want to waste his time and that i wasnt buying that day and he said " it doesnt matter car buying is a big deal so i should take my time " i looked around and asked questions that he new all the asnwers too. Long story short there was no negotiation. The managers gave me an amazing deal on my sonata and the finance guy was the funniest guy ever. Being the first time buying a new car i felt that it was way too easy but they made me realize that is the way its supposed to be. I have already recommended this dealer to all my family and friends and my girlfriend went and bought a car as well.
Thanks so much Cerritos Hyundai" -lbmonster562

2012 Hyundai Azera Earns IIHS Top Safety Honors

Azera is the Seventh Hyundai Model to Achieve Highest Safety Rating

Cerritos_hyundai

COSTA MESA, Calif., May 16, 2012 – The all-new Hyundai Azera achieved the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) highest honor for 2012 as a Top Safety Pick this week. Top Safety Pick recognizes vehicles that do the best job of protecting people in front, side, rollover and rear crashes, based on “good” ratings in Institute tests. Elantra, Sonata, Genesis, Equus, Tucson and Santa Fe are also 2012 Top Safety Picks.

The IIHS Top Safety Pick ratings help consumers pick vehicles that offer the highest level of crash protection. Azera meets the Top Safety Pick rating criteria by earning good ratings in a front and side crash test, rear impact test assessing whiplash protection and a roof strength test to measure occupant protection in rollover crashes.

Elantra and Genesis Sedan recognized as "Best Values" by USAA

COSTA MESA, Calif., May 7, 2012 – Financial services provider USAA named both the 2012 Hyundai Elantra and 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan as 2012 “Best Value” vehicle picks. USAA rated cars in 16 different categories with a proprietary vehicle rating system using quantitative data that takes factors such as cost, safety, reliability and fuel economy into consideration. Both Hyundai vehicles were recognized for offering the best financial value in their respective segments; the Elantra topped the small sedan category and the Genesis sedan won in the large luxury sedan category.

Elantra also made it onto USAA’s Top 10 for Teens list. The list was compiled from the results of a recent survey that identified the top 10 USAA Preferred vehicles that possess reliability, a high safety rating and affordable auto insurance. Additionally, four Hyundai vehicles were also recognized with the USAA Preferred designation: Sonata (midsize sedan), Accent (small sedan), Genesis Coupe (large luxury sedan), and Santa Fe (midsize SUV).

“The goal of the list is to help members identify vehicles that typically offer better safety ratings, lower insurance premium costs, higher fuel economy, better overall reliability and lower MSRP compared to other vehicles in the same category,” said Steve Thompson, assistant vice president, USAA. “The Elantra and Genesis both rose to the top as vehicles that offer these key elements, making them great buys for the value-minded consumer.”

The 2012 North American Car of the Year Elantra adds an ActiveECO System for 2012 that modifies engine and transmission control to smooth out throttle response and increase real-world fuel economy by up to seven percent. Elantra’s standard fuel economy is 29 mpg city and 40 mpg highway, and is powered by an all-new 1.8-liter Nu four-cylinder engine with 148 horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque.

Hyundai’s Genesis sedan, the 2009 North American Car of the Year, continues its segment leadership in 2012 with exterior design improvements, new direct injection technology for its Lambda V6 engine, new eight-speed automatic transmissions, and enhanced chassis tuning. In addition, a new 5.0-liter direct injection V8 engine is now available exclusively with the 5.0 R-Spec model, which includes unique 19-inch machined-finish alloy wheels, optional Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position summer performance tires and sport-tuned transmission, suspension and steering calibrations for exhilarating vehicle dynamics.

“The Elantra upholds Hyundai’s commitment to value with emotional design, 40 mpg highway fuel economy and outstanding residual value,” said Scott Margason, director of Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “The Genesis sedan also continues to provide ground-breaking value among its luxury competition with lavish features and impressive driving performance. Both cars continue to exceed expectations for consumers in their respective segments.”

Another great review from a happy customer!

"Despite all the bad reviews, I had just the opposite experience when buying my 2013 Genesis Coupe. I live in San Diego and wanted to purchase the 2.0T Premium in Circuit Silver. The problem? San Diego dealers have no inventory -- no cars and no timeline for getting this model. After searching the Internet, I found two silvers, one at WIN Hyundai in El Monte and one at Cerritos Hyundai, which is much closer. All it took was a single phone call to Cerritos answered by super salesperson Jon Haidar. We did the lease deal by phone the night before and the rest is history. The numbers were well below two deals I worked out with San Diego dealers (and they still had to find a car!). Naturally -- based on Yelp reviews -- I was skeptical that the deal was the real thing and worried that the numbers would change once I drove 100 mi. to Cerritos. But what a nice surprise. By the time I arrived, Jon already had prepped the car and pre-populated my lease application with information I gave him on the drive up. A quick signature to run my credit and out popped the paperwork for my signature. The deal was real and I was one happy car buyer. No BS. Just a good old-fashioned bargain that is easly one of the top two car buying experiences of my life (I'm 58). I knew what a great lease price was on this car and Cerritos Hyunadi delivered. Also thanks to sales manager David Rosas who didn't screw around with me once I arrived. The price I was quoted by phone was the price I paid! I think this dealership respects people who do their homework and know what they want. I got a great deal. No BS. Just the real deal." -Kevin

The 2012 Hyundai Azera: Garages

Thank you for the kind words, Tony!

"A lot of negative reviews...maybe they had the wrong sales person. I called 4  local dealers and Ricky Peters gave me a good price right off the bat and followed it up with a email stating price and the particulars of the Tucson he was quoting. Even with a trade in and a dealer swap for the color I wanted, I walked out of the dealer with a brand new just detailed Tucson at the price over the phone in less than an hour. I would recommend Ricky since he was great for me." -Tony C.

Take a look at these great cars for under $10,000!

Check out this great review from a happy customer!

"I read all of the bad reviews on this site. I can't speak for these customers; perhaps some were unhappy because they received genuinely bad service or perhaps they just wanted too many concessions because, heck, in a bad economy everything should be given away, right? All I know is that i had an extremely pleasant and hassle-free experience with these guys. I did my homework ahead of time and decided on a car and the (low) price I wanted to pay. When I called I talked with Ricky Peters, a no b.s. kind of guy. Within five minutes he offered a price that was lower than I was expecting to pay. I came in the next day and test drove the car- everything worked out- and the deal was done in an hour. Ricky was extremely down-to-earth, not a 'salesman' at all. Later that day I found a ding in the car which freaked me out because I'd signed the inspection waiver. They offered to fix it for free without even hesitating.
I know this almost sounds like a paid commercial but this is the best service I ever received at a car dealership. I generally don't like salesmen, and I hate haggling, so I'm telling you, if you do your homework ahead of time (i.e. come up with a reasonable  offer) then call Ricky Peters and he'll make it happen for you. I can't speak for the rest of the sales staff but Ricky doesn't push or 'sell' you. A pleasure to deal with." -Troy

Another happy customer!

"I'm very satisfy with the customer service offered by Hyundai in Cerritos. My car was a difficult to get a hold of but Ricky helped in making sure I get the car I want. He called me everyday to keep me updated on the status of my car and it's arrival. Thank you Ricky. I'm a very very happy customer." -Amichanvang86

Hyundai Azera named 2012 "Best Bet" by Cars.com

COSTA MESA, Calif., April 26, 2012 – The Hyundai Azera was named a 2012 “Best Bet” in the Full Size Sedan category by Cars.com, a leading destination for online car shoppers. Azera joins five other Hyundai models previously selected to Cars.com’s 2012 list: Elantra (Compact Sedan), Sonata (Midsize Sedan), Genesis (Luxury Car), Genesis Coupe (Sports Car), and Tucson (Compact SUV/Crossover).

“The redesigned Hyundai Azera offers a roomy cabin, great value for the price and solid reliability,” said Patrick Olsen, Cars.com Editor in Chief. “This vehicle and the others from Hyundai that we have named a ‘best bet’ are vehicles that any of our editors would drive.”

Cars.com Best Bets must meet four criteria: the car must get average or better fuel economy for its segment, the car must have average or better reliability, the car must get average or better scores in crash tests, and Cars.com’s editors must endorse the car. In years past, Cars.com has rolled out their Best Bets once a year, but moving forward they will be adding new models to the list as they are tested and rated.

“It’s an honor to have Cars.com editors recognize the Azera and five other Hyundai models on their list of vehicles to buy in 2012,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Azera offers industry-leading safety technologies, top-tier quality, terrific design both inside and out, and a host of luxury and convenience features that offer more value to today’s car shopper than our competitors in the large sedan segment.”

New for 2012, Azera features a modern, sleek, sophisticated style, creating the illusion of constant motion. This flagship Fluidic Sculpture sedan also features a more powerful Lambda II 3.3-liter GDI engine, six-speed transmission, best-in-class combined fuel economy of 23 miles per gallon and a wide range of advanced safety equipment.
