2013 Santa Fe named as one of the top 10 all-new cars by Total Car Score

The 2013 Santa Fe makes a dashing entrance into showrooms as it is one of the top 10 new models for 2013 according to Total Car Score. Editors at Total Car Score, a leading automotive and research comparison website, ranked the Santa Fe ninth out of more than 30 new models reaching showrooms for the 2013 model year.

“A huge slice of the public has held off on replacing their vehicles because of economic uncertainty. That means an unprecedented level of pent-up demand,” said Karl Brauer, editor-in-chief of Total Car Score. “This will eventually lead to a flurry of sales as consumers replace their worn-out cars with new ones. Automakers like Ford are well aware of this situation, and know the rising pressure on consumers will inevitably break loose with a flurry of buying activity. When this happens, every carmaker wants to be positioned to capture new vehicle shoppers with enticing cars, trucks and SUVs.”

The all-new Santa Fe is the final piece in Hyundai’s “7/11 product initiative” (seven new or redesigned models in 11 months in the 2012 calendar year). It is also revolutionizing the CUV market through a combination of impressive fuel economy, “Fluidic Sculpture” design and cutting-edge technology.

“We’re excited that Total Car Score recognizes the industry-leading capabilities the Santa Fe family is bringing to the 2013 vehicle landscape,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Offering buyers the best in functionality, comfort and styling, there really is no better way to conclude our ‘7/11 product initiative’ than with a true game-changer.”

The all-new third-generation Santa Fe comes in two flavors, a five-passenger model similar in size to the 2012 model, and a longer wheelbase three-row, seven-passenger model. The 2013 Santa Fe is a capable crossover built for today’s family, with flexible seating and cargo, strong performance courtesy of dramatic weight savings (266 lbs. lighter than the 2012 model) and advanced safety technologies. Santa Fe showcases the brand’s cutting-edge capabilities through its bold design, impressive fuel economy and a host of features to delight drivers and passengers with high expectations for functionality and comfort. The all-new 2013 five-passenger Santa Fe Sport began arriving at Hyundai dealerships in August, with the long wheelbase Santa Fe set to arrive early in 2013.

Each time a new Hyundai is sold, a donation is made to help kids fight cancer.

Our most powerful engine is our spirit.

What started in 1998 as a grass-roots effort to raise money for a local New England pediatric cancer institute has grown into a powerful nation-wide charity called Hope on Wheels.

Every time a new Hyundai is sold, a donation is made to help kids fight cancer. With over 800 dealerships those numbers add up quickly. In fact, we're so committed to helping kids fight cancer that we won't stop until we find a cure.

Go to http://www.hyundaiusa.com/new-thinking/csr.aspx/ to donate.

Keeping our customers happy is our main goal!

"This review is for the service department. My car was due for its first service and I booked an appointment online. I was greeted by Rick when I arrived at the drop off. He was very chipper and got me set up quickly with my paperwork and my 10% of yelp discount.  I grabbed some free coffee and a cheese danish and they dropped me off at work. I will come back next time my hyundai needs service. The great service of the service department might sway me to purchase my next car from here." -Robin

Rhys Millen claimed yet another world record and overall victory at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in a Hyundai Genesis Coupe Racecar

PIKES PEAK, COLORADO, August 12, 2012 – Rhys Millen claimed yet another world record and overall victory at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on Sunday. Millen set a blazing pace to the summit in his hillclimb-prepared Hyundai Genesis Coupe racecar, needing only 9:46.164 to make international motorsports’ most challenging ascent over 14,000 feet. For 2012, Millen’s own race team, Rhys Millen Racing (RMR), made additional performance enhancements to the current world-record-setting Genesis Coupe, the very same car that set the Time Attack 2WD record last year with Rhys’ father, Rod Millen, at the wheel.

Winner

“This year, it really came together for the RMR team at Pikes,” said Millen. “With the insights gained from the last few years in our Genesis Coupe, the team was able to make some high-impact improvements, leveraging additional downforce and traction opportunities provided by the new all-tarmac surface. And behind the wheel, my experience at Pikes Peak over the years allowed me to shave a few tenths from virtually every corner. Breaking the 10-minute barrier is something I've always wanted to do, and it feels great to accomplish this goal in 2012.”

Not content to rest on their laurels from last years’ victory, the RMR team held nothing back in race preparation for this year’s effort. Special focus was given to maximizing the grip potential of the new all-tarmac course and its considerably higher average speeds. A new aero package was fitted, targeting even more downforce to accommodate higher speeds and additional grip requirements of new, ultra-wide, staggered fitment Hankook F200 racing slicks on custom HRE lightweight wheels. The front splitter was redesigned for more strength and the rear wing was redesigned for additional downforce, along with a wider rear body kit for stability. On the power side, a new Garrett GTX3582 Turbocharger was fitted, yielding an amazing 700 horsepower and 700 lb. ft. of torque from the Hyundai V6 powerplant. To handle this extra power, the brake calipers were upgraded for extra thermal capacity, and additional cooling ductwork was installed to ensure optimal brake performance at the summit’s extreme altitudes. The entire car was scrutinized for weight reduction potential and suspension settings were further optimized for Millen’s unique rally/drift driving techniques.

Car

Rhys Millen Racing has been the team to contend with in recent years at Pikes Peak. In 2011, Rhys nearly broke the famed 10-minute barrier in his dedicated PM580 tubeframe hillclimb racer. In a classic father/son family effort, Rhys’ father, Rod Millen, set the current record in the same Genesis Coupe, having recently celebrated his 60th birthday, even beating a Porsche 911 GT2 RS. In 2009, Rhys had set the world record for Time Attack 2WD in the Genesis Coupe, the beginning of a world-record-setting dynasty for the RMR team.

The 2012 Hyundai Accent has earned a spot on Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com’s “10 Best Back-To-School Cars for Students.”

COSTA MESA, Calif., August 8, 2012 - The 2012 Hyundai Accent has earned a spot on Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com’s “10 Best Back-To-School Cars for Students.” Expert editors of the distinguished source for vehicle information praise the Accent for its fresh appeal, dependability and affordability.

“From funky hatchbacks to stylish sedans, all of KBB.com’s 10 Best Back-to-School Cars of 2012 are affordable, safe and reliable, not to mention fun to drive and fuel efficient. Most importantly, these vehicles fulfill the often distinctively different set of new-car criteria of both parents and students, striking a healthy balance,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.

Back-to-school can be a hectic time for parents and students, especially when car shopping is on the list. KBB.com editors have made the shopping job easier by naming the most affordable cars of 2012 based on the desires of students. In addition, all the cars on this year’s list are available for less than $16,000, according to Kelley Blue Book’s Fair Purchase Price, which shows the price others in a consumer’s area typically paid for a new vehicle based on actual transaction data and updated weekly for changing market conditions.

“Accent exemplifies the quality, reliability and value that young car shoppers are looking for.” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “With advanced technology, stylish design and spectacular fuel economy, the Accent is a great option for students and parents alike.”

Since its 2012 debut, the all-new Accent has been winning-over shoppers with its expressive and distinctive fluidic sculpture design, exceptional roominess, best-in-class fuel efficiency and an array of standard safety features. In addition to its all around reliability, the Accent’s recent track record includes being named to Consumer Guide’s 2012 Automotive “Best Buy,” Motorweek’s 2012 Driver’s Choice Award list and Vincentric’s “Best Value in America” list.

Check out this five-star review...Thanks Gladys!

"I love Cerritos Hyundai! About 12 years ago, I was in need of a new car.  I went to Cerritos Hyundai because a friend took me there.  On that same day, I was able to drive a brand new car off the lot. The car that I got then, is now a bit old and even though it's still "good",  I figured that it was time to get a new car.  I went around to a few other dealerships first, because I was worried about my credit. I have a bunch of college loans, so I don't have the best credit score these days.  I finally decided to go back to the same dealership to see what would happen. I made an appointment online. Jon Haidar contacted me to find out what I was looking for in a vehicle, etc.  I showed up the day of my appointment with hesitation because I had already been to other dealerships, my credit is not the best, and I did not like the finance deals I had been offered.  Long story short, Jon worked with me to find a car and a finance deal that I could afford in spite of my credit.  Even though I spent a whole afternoon at Cerritos Hyundai, I was able to once again drive off the lot in a brand new car! Who knew it could happen twice?!" -Gladys
